Should you bump into Marc Leishman sometime soon at the beach, his preferred local golf course, Virginia Beach National, or strolling through Town Center with his fiancee, feel free to offer the PGA Tour rookie star a hearty "Good going, bloke!"
It would be the neighborly thing to do. Because while it's true he's from Australia, Leishman is also one of us now.
Leishman has been a Virginia Beach homeowner since the spring and plans to marry a Salem High School graduate, Audrey Hills, here in April. That's a big deal for area sports fans who have long enjoyed following world-class local athletes down an array of avenues, from baseball to soccer to track and field.
