ST. PETERSBURG -- Left-hander Jo-Jo Reyes was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on Tuesday afternoon.Reyes made 20 starts for the Blue Jays this season but was designated for assignment on July 23. "He threw a couple of good ballgames against them so [the] experience against them was a positive one," Blue Jays manager John Farrell said. "I think in Jo-Jo's case, the opportunity to go right into a Major League opportunity is certainly a good thing for him. "We wish him well and he served a very good role for us for the majority of the season."The 26-year-old went 5-8 with a 5.40 ERA in 110 innings. At the time of his designation, Reyes' 1.59 WHIP was tied for worst in the Majors and he surrendered the fifth most hits Jerry Rice Throwback Jersey in the American League with 140.The fifth-year player likely will be remembered most for tying the Major League record with a streak of 28 consecutive starts without recording a victory. That skid began after a start on June 13, 2008, versus Charles Barkley Throwback Jersey the Angels when he was Julius Erving Throwback Jersey still playing for the Braves. It didn't end until Reyes picked up Tracy Mcgrady Throwback Jersey a win on May 30, 2011, against the Indians. Reyes is 10-23 with a 6.04 ERA in 61 career appearances in the Major Leagues. He was acquired from the Braves last season alongside shortstop Yunel Escobar for shortstop Alex Gonzalez and a pair of prospects. &nb sp; &nb sp; McGowan improving, close to taking next step   ; Magic Johnson Throwback Jersey ST. PETERSBURG -- Dustin McGowan is almost ready to take the next step in his potential return to the Major Leagues.McGowan will make one more rehab start for Class A Dunedin before moving up to continue his work with Double-A New Hampshire. That marks a big milestone for McGowan, who hasn't pitched for the Blue Jays since 2008, Shaquille O'Neal Throwback Jersey because of numerous shoulder injuries."He's making very solid progress," Blue Jays manager John Farrell said. "Hopefully he gets to the point where he's not only finishing strong from a physical standpoint, but we get through the month of August and he's looking at coming back [to Toronto] and then continuing his pitching here."McGowan has made six rehab starts for Dunedin and went 0-2 with a 3.55 ERA while striking out 13 in 12 2/3 innings. He has been limited to approximately 40 pitches per outing and didn't throw more than three innings in a start. The native of Savannah, Ga., hasn't pitched since July 25. He was temporarily shut down and is now expected to make his next outing on Friday. That pause allowed the Blue Jays to reset the clock on McGowan's 30-day rehab. "He was feeling some fatigue in the belly of the forearm muscle," Farrell said. "He has been throwing since last December and I think at this point it was almost his All-Star break. ... He's back in the flow of things."McGowan is 20-22 with a 4.71 ERA in 75 career outings in the Major Leagues. His best season came in 2007 when he went 12-10 with a 4.08 ERA and 144 strikeouts in 169 2/3 innings.Farrell reiterated that McGowan's best chance at making a full recovery is as a starting pitcher. Relievers often don't know when Roger Craig Throwback Jersey they're going to get work, and they sometimes have to get ready in a hurry. That's not an ideal situation for McGowan, who needs to have a regular routine. "We haven't looked at a role," Farrell said of McGowan's potential return to the big leagues. "I think, and we all feel this way, the best way to bring him back from the challenges he has faced is through the regular work and regular rest of a starter's role. "The most important thing is that he's active or at least in the process of regaining that active status. To think Wilt Chamberlain Throwback Jersey of the work he has put in, he's finally starting to bear some of that fruit. This has got a chance to be a very rewarding story for himself and certainly the Blue Jays." &n bsp;   ; &n bsp; Lawrie BLeandro Barbosa Throwback Jersey continues to impress in Minors &nb sp; ST. PETERSBURG -- Brett Lawrie Allen Iverson Throwback Jersey continued to make a case that he's ready for the Major Leagues with another successful day at the plate for Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon.Lawrie went 1-for-3 with an RBI single for the 51s and is now batting .342 (13-for-38) in his past 10 games.Lawrie also has two home runs, seven RBIs, three doubles and eight walks over that same span. The native of Langley, British Columbia, appears to have regained the form he had before fracturing his left hand in a game on May 31."First of all, the fact that he's back playing, yeah that's great," Blue Jays manager John Farrell said. "We haven't changed off of our goal of getting him at-bats, games played, prior to September. "Whether that happens this weekend [in Baltimore] or when we get off the road -- whenever that might be -- we're all looking forward to getting him inserted in with this young group but we haven't pinpointed an exact day."Farrell Michael Cooper Throwback Jersey confirmed that when Lawrie eventually does make his Major League debut it will come at third base. That will send Vince Carter Throwback Jersey slugger Jose Bautista back to right field and creates a logjam at two positions.Travis Snider, Eric Thames and Edwin Encarnacion will all be competing for playing time with the only Jason Williams Throwback Jersey open spots being in left field and designated hitter. That heated competition Joe Montana Throwback Jersey is a testament to the increased depth Toronto now has on its 25-man roster following the recent addition of center fielder Colby Rasmus."The most important point here is that we're getting to the point with our roster that performance, and how you go out and play, and what you do in between the lines directly impacts that decision," Farrell said of the playing time. "You'd hope to go out and maintain the focus on what you can control and that's every at-bat and every play and let that work speak and affect the decision."

WASHINGTON -- Chipper Jones remained a pinch-hitting option for manager Fredi Gonzalez on Tuesday in Washington, and he will likely stick to that role in Wednesday's series finale. Jones fielded ground balls and took batting practice before each of the first two games at Nationals Park, but continues to be bothered by a strained right quadriceps when running the bases and stretching for ground balls. "Coming to the park [Monday], I thought I would have a lot of improvement, and it was basically where I've been for the last week," Jones said. "But I'm not any more sore today than I've been before. So I just have Jerry West Throwback Jersey to go do it again and ease my way Kurt Rambis Throwback Jersey back." Jones is 0-for-4 with three groundouts and a strikeout as a pinch-hitter, but will remain in that role barring Dennis Rodman Throwback Jersey any setbacks. "He can do that and run in James Worthy Throwback Jersey a straight line," Gonzalez said. "Until he feels comfortable running the bases, moving side to side, laterally, in on ground balls and stuff like that, we'll let him keep doing Allen Iverson Throwback Jersey what he's doing. He's a pretty good pinch-hitter on that bench." &n bsp;   ; &n bsp; Fredi slots pitcher back to No. 9 spot in order &nbs p; WASHINGTON -- As much as it may have disappointed Derek Lowe, manager Fredi Gonzalez opted to revert to a typical lineup with the pitcher hitting ninth Tuesday at Nationals Park. Gonzalez hit Jair Jurrjens eighth and Jose Constanza ninth in the opener Monday -- the first time the pitcher did Byron Scott Throwback Jersey not hit ninth in the Atlanta era. Gonzalez plans to go back to it at some point, but it depends on his matchups. "I think it's going to be the particular matchup and how is that No. 7 hitter going to be affected," Gonzalez said. "If he has great numbers against that particular pitcher, then you don't want Reggie Miller Throwback Jersey to put the pitcher eighth. It's not one of those, 'I'm going to hit the pitcher eighth and forget about it.' There's a lot more to it than that." The idea behind the move is to put more men on base for Nos. 2, 3 and 4 hitters, but also to give Constanza more freedom to run with Michael Bourn following him Abdul-Jabbar Throwback Jersey in the lineup. If Constanza is on first and the pitcher is up, Gonzalez would not want him to run, potentially make the third out, and have the pitcher lead off the next inning. Gonzalez also did not want to hit Constanza and Bourn -- both lefties Elgin Baylor Throwback Jersey -- hitting consecutively against Nationals left-hander John Lannan. Constanza was receptive to hitting ninth, where he had some at-bats last season for Triple-A Columbus. The 27-year-old led off and played center field in his first three games before Bourn's arrival, then played left field and hit ninth Monday. He hit eighth and played right field Tuesday, giving Jason Heyward a routine day off against Nationals left-hander John Lannan. "He's only been in the big leagues for four days," Gonzalez said. "I don't think he's going to be knocking on my office saying, 'I don't want to hit ninth, skipper. I hit leadoff or I'm going back to Triple-A.' I think he'll be happy to be in the lineup." &n bsp;   ; &n bsp; Braves visit Walter Reed Medical Center &nb sp; WASHINGTON -- Manager Fredi Gonzalez, pitching coach Roger McDowell, Brooks Conrad, Tim Hudson, Scott Proctor and Braves staff members spent Tuesday morning visiting injured troops at the Walter Reed Medical Center. Gonzalez visited the hospital before and said both sides can take a lot out of the visit. "That's the least we can do," he said, "take two hours out of our day to go there. They're out there risking their lives, and we're playing baseball. And we can because of them." The hospital houses many amputees who have the attitude that they will walk again. But Tuesday's visit from the Braves gave them an opportunity to focus on something else. "They're excited to see people," Hudson said. "A lot of them were Braves fans. A lot were from the South, from Georgia. I think any baseball fan would appreciate Clyde Drexler Throwback Jersey any team coming to visit them, whether Deion Sanders Throwback Jersey they're a Braves fan or not. Even if they're not baseball fans, it gives them somebody to hang out with and talk about something other than what they do every day." &n bsp;   ; &n bsp; Worth noting &nb sp; Terry Bradshaw Throwback Jersey • Right-handed reliever Peter Moylan played catch and felt fine Tuesday after throwing bullpen sessions the previous two days. He was sidelined since undergoing back surgery May 17, but he did not struggle while throwing 15 pitches Sunday and 20 on Monday. He will throw another bullpen session Wednesday in Washington, and while he does not know the number of pitches, he said 25 would be Hakeem Olajuwon Throwback Jersey a good bet. • Atlanta promoted 21-year-old right-hander Randall Delgado to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday. The Braves' third-ranked prospect, according to MLB.com, made a spot start against Texas earlier this season in Dan Fouts Throwback Jersey place of Tommy Hanson and allowed three runs in four innings. He went 5-5 with a 3.84 ERA with Double-A Mississippi, walking 46 and striking out 110 in 117 1/3 innings.

ANAHEIM -- Angels right-hander Jered Weaver was suspended six games and fined an undisclosed amount of money for throwing at Tigers catcher Alex Avila, Major League Baseball announced on Tuesday.Weaver has decided Harmon Killebrew Throwback Jersey to appeal the suspension, but if the suspension is upheld, he's expected to miss only one start. His next start is scheduled for Friday's series opener against the Mariners."I knew that there was going to be something [punishment]," he said. "It is what it is ... I kind of wanted my voice heard a little bit in the situation -- see how they feel about it -- Steve Young Throwback Jersey and then go from there."In addition to Weaver's suspension, Angels manager Mike Scioscia has been suspended one game for the intentional actions of Weaver after a warning had been issued to both clubs by home-plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt on Sunday in Detroit. Scioscia served his suspension during the Angels' game Tuesday night against the Twins.Scioscia called his suspension "standard operating procedure." Bench coach Rob Picciolo took over his duties for Tuesday's game.During the bottom of the seventh on Sunday, Weaver threw a pitch over the head of Avila after a solo homer by Carlos Guillen Ronnie Lott Throwback Jersey that gave the Tigers Don Mattingly Throwback Jersey a 3-0 lead on their way to a 3-2 victory.Guillen stood and admired his second homer of the season as it arced toward the right-field seats. When he finally began Kirby Puckett Throwback Jersey his home-run trot, he flipped his bat and danced out of the batter's box, catching Weaver's attention. It was the second time in the game Weaver had taken exception to the way a Detroit batter seemingly admired a home run.Wendelstedt strode to the mound to warn Weaver and both dugouts after Guillen finally circled the bases. But Weaver threw the next pitch in the area of Avila's head and was immediately ejected. After the ejection, Weaver yelled toward the Detroit dugout as he angrily walked off the mound and headed to the dugout."Baseball's a game of emotions," he said. "I'm not one to usually let the emotions get the best of me. I've had a pretty calm career so far. There's just some things that kind of cross the line and I thought maybe that was one of those things and didn't want to take that. I did what I did and obviously have to Steve Largent Throwback Jersey pay the repercussions for it."Weaver said he wasn't trying to hurt Avila, who caught the Angels' right-hander as Weaver started last month's All-Star Game. Kevin Johnson Throwback Jersey "I've always said I'm not here to Tony Oliva Throwback Jersey hurt anybody," Weaver said. "If I wanted to hit him, I could have hit him. I tried to throw a fastball in, and it got up and away. Probably looked a little worse than it was -- it was clearly about a foot or two over his head."I just felt like I needed to prove a point."Scioscia wasn't too keen on Guillen's home-run trot either, saying, Kent Hrbek Throwback Jersey "I think flamboyant is not a strong enough word.""I think the culture of this game has changed a bit where hitters do stand and look at home runs occasionally. It's become more of an accepted practice than it was certainly 30 and 40 years ago," Scioscia said. "That being said, we're not about bean balls ... We're going to pay a price for Weav trying to send a statement to the other side that he didn't agree with Dan Majerle Throwback Jersey what they were doing."In the third inning, Magglio Ordonez also watched a home run soar toward left for a 2-0 Tigers lead. In that case, however, there was some question whether it would land fair or foul.Weaver stared down Ordonez as he embarked on his home-run trot and yapped at him as he circled the bases.Ordonez said afterward he was "just making sure it was a fair ball." Weaver interpreted the events differently."If he [Ordonez] was looking to see if it goes fair or foul I think you guys could disagree with that one a little bit," Weaver said. " Rod Carew Throwback Jersey ... He can say what he wants to say, Bert Blyleven Throwback Jersey but I know it was going out."Weaver said he hadn't been informed of a date for his appeal hearing, though he's supposed to meet with officials when the team makes its trip to New York for a three-game series Aug. 9-11."They have an opinion about Joe DiMaggio Throwback Jersey what happened and I have an opinion about what happened," Weaver said. "I just want to let them know how I feel about how it went down and see where it goes from there."The 28-year-old is 14-5 this season with a 1.88 ERA, the best in the American League entering Tuesday.

Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw, who allowed two runs on six hits in a complete-game 6-2 victory over the Padres on Monday, has allowed 6.92 hits per nine innings and Reggie Miller Throwback Jersey struck out 9.87 per nine this season.Over the last two months of the 1956 regular season, Indians southpaw Herb Score seemingly toyed with hitters. From Aug. 2-Sept. 26, Score started 13 games (and made two relief appearances), completed eight of his starts, compiled a 2.03 ERA, held Terry Bradshaw Throwback Jersey batters to a .177 batting average and a .525 OPS, and allowed 66 Byron Scott Throwback Jersey hits while striking out 114 batters in 106 1/3 innings. On Sept. 26, 1956, Score was 23 years and 111 days old and had just completed a season in which he had struck out 9.49 batters per nine innings and allowed 5.85 hits per nine innings. ANAHEIM -- Nearly two months after suffering a concussion in a collision with Royals catcher Brayan Pena on June 3, Denard Span made his return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Angels, leading off and playing center field.Span, who was originally placed on the seven-day disabled list on June 9 after playing in one game on June 6 against the Tigers after suffering his concussion, went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in the Twins' 5-1 loss."I almost feel like it's my debut again," Span said before the game. "I've been Custom New Jersey Nets Jersey gone for a while, and I'm definitely looking forward to get Day 1 out of the way. It's kind of similar to when I went to Rochester a coupleweeks ago."Span played in 10 rehab games with Triple-A Rochester, hitting .205with a double and three stolen bases before being officially activatedfrom the disabled before Tuesday's game. Infielder Luke Hughes wasoptioned to Rochester on Sunday to make room.Span, who missed 48 games, said the concussion was especially toughbecause it was difficult to put a timetable on his return."It wasn't easy," he said. "You would think I would be mentallyrefreshed right now from not playing, not going 0-for-4, 0-for-5 forthe past two Custom Milwaukee Bucks Jersey months, but if anything I feel a little like I've beenthrough a war these past two months. But I think it's made mestronger."Span also talked about how he felt regarding the trade rumors thatswirled last week, as he was linked to the Nationals in a trade thatwould have sent closer Drew Storen to Minnesota. He said he was "verysurprised" to hear his name in trade rumors but understands it waspart of the business."When I signed that deal a year ago, I thought I would be here fiveyears, at least four," said Span, who signed a five-year, $16.5million contract extension before last season that includes an optionfor 2015. "I thought at least close to free agency, if they had to dowhat Jack Lambert Throwback Jersey they had to do. But I didn't think by the second year I'd betalked about getting out of here. Custom Los Angeles Lakers Jersey So that was definitely a surprise."Span also added he would be OK with playing a corner outfield spot, ifnecessary, as the Twins Custom Oklahoma City Thunder Jersey have a crowded outfield with Ben Revere,Delmon Young, Jason Repko, Michael Cuddyer and Jason Kubel on Custom Miami Heat Jersey theroster. But Joe Greene Throwback Jersey Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Span will be in center,as he didn't want to play in any games Custom Portland Trail Blazers Jersey in Custom New York Knicks Jersey left or right field duringhis rehab stint."We talked before, about doing that in the Minor Custom New Orleans Hornets Jersey Leagues, but wedidn't get that done," Gardenhire said. "So he's in the big leagues,in center field."Span, who was Jerome Bettis Throwback Jersey hitting .294 with a .361 on-base percentage in 56 gamesbefore hitting the disabled list, also said he expects to have similarproduction the rest of the season."I haven't played in two months, but I hold myself to highexpectations," Custom Philadelphia 76ers Jersey Span said. "I'm going to get back to where I was. When,I don't know. But I'm going to get back there. I'm going to work anddo what I have to do, whether Custom Orlando Magic Jersey it's in the cage, or on the field orwhatever and do whatever it takes to get back to that feeling. I'd belying to you right now, if I told you I felt like I felt right beforeI got hurt. But you know, it's Custom Phoenix Suns Jersey going to come."

CLEVELAND -- Same actors, same scene, same high drama. The only difference was the closing act. This time rookie Jordan Walden walked Johnny Damon official jersey away beaming, having preserved a 2-1 victory authentic Joba Chamberlain jersey White for his Angels and Jered Weaver at the Indians' expense on Tuesday night in front of 19,430 at Progressive Field.Rookie Mark Trumbo's two-out, two-strike, two-run double in the seventh inning was the decisive stroke against hard-luck Josh Tomlin, lifting Weaver to authentic Joba Chamberlain jersey Black his 14th win in 18 decisions."I wanted to be out there tonight," Walden said. "You want to forget about it, and the best way to do that is to get back authentic Jorge Posada jersey Grey out there and pitch again. I'm thankful for the opportunity."On the verge of letting his second game get away in two nights, having blown a save for Dan Haren on Monday night in the ninth, Walden met the challenge head-on.The Angels' closer took deep breaths, reached back and found the right stuff -- good old Texas heat -- to turn a bases-loaded, none-out crisis into the performance of his young career. It ended with rookie Jason Kipnis, a hero the night before, swinging through a fastball with two men in scoring position after Matt LaPorta had grounded into a double play with none out and the bases loaded. It was started by second baseman Howard Kendrick and turned by catcher Jeff Mathis, wheeling a throw to Trumbo at first."We had our chance at the end," Indians manager Manny Acta said. "We just couldn't get the ball out of the infield. They stopped the magic tonight."With LaPorta, having homered in his previous at-bat, stepping into the box, Angels manager Mike Scioscia brought the infield up and watched everything play out as if he'd scripted it."We're playing in with the bases loaded and with a guy throwing as hard as Walden," Kendrick said. "Most of the time a guy's going to be late against him. He tried to foul it off, I think, but he happened to hit a chopper."I didn't know if we were going to get two, but I knew I had to make a good throw to Mathis. Jeff turned it around pretty quick and we got the guy at first. Jordan took care of the rest." The uprising had started with singles by Travis Hafner and Carlos Santana, followed by Lonnie Chisenhall's bunt single."The guy [Hafner] hits the lip [of the infield] and one-hops Torii [Hunter] in right field," Walden said, shaking his head. "The next guy [Santana] hits a ground-ball single, and then they get a perfect bunt [by Chisenhall] on a pitch up and away. I don't know how he did that."I went to 3 and 2 on LaPorta. The 2-2 pitch was supposed to be in and got way in. I wanted to go away on the next pitch, and he sort of checked his swing authentic Jorge Posada jersey Black and hit it to Howie. The infield was up, and Howie and Jeff both made great plays. Then it was high heat on the last guy." The save was his 24th -- and best."I think Jordan's fine," Scioscia said. "It's important for him to turn the page. If he gave it up again, he'd show up [Wednesday] with the same stuff. I don't know if Jordan did it for himself. For us trying to groom a closer, that's a great statement he made."Trumbo supplied what Weaver had been waiting for with his two-run blast crashing against the wall in right-center."He threw me nothing but cutters all night, every single pitch," Trumbo said, having grounded out to Tomlin his first two at-bats, sharply on the first one. "I got inside it [on the double] and stayed through it."This is one of those series where their guys Jorge Posada official jersey have been throwing the ball well." Trumbo's "laser," as Scioscia put it, brought home Bobby Abreu and Kendrick. Abreu had led off the inning with a single and Kendrick was walked intentionally in front authentic Jorge Posada jersey White of Trumbo with first base open."Tomlin was in complete command the whole night," Acta said, his right-hander having slipped to 11-5 despite eight strong innings. "He made one mistake after handling Trumbo very well the whole night, and he made him pay for it."Weaver had an idea what was coming."I kind of figured Trumbo was going to get the big hit there, when I saw them walking Howie," Weaver said. "That's the way he is. I knew he was going to come up big."That's authentic Joba Chamberlain jersey Grey a tough situation for a young kid to come up in, and he proved he can come through in those situations."Trumbo admittedly had "a little added motivation going up there" as Kendrick was being given a free pass.LaPorta cut the deficit in half with his solo homer in the seventh, his ninth. It was authentic Johnny Damon jersey Grey just the sixth homer surrendered by Weaver in 161 innings and the second in his past 13 starts."He has terrific command," Scioscia said. "He's evolving as a pitcher. Every number you look at with Weav has an exclamation with it."Weaver shaved his MLB-best ERA to 1.79, but it was no cruise. He left runners at the corners in the third and fourth innings."He had to start pitching early in the game, knowing we weren't scoring authentic Johnny Damon jersey Whiteruns," Scioscia said. "He had to work to get into the seventh. Every one of the [at-bats] seemed like it was a battle."Scott Downs walked the leadoff man in the eighth and fell behind 2-0 to Michael Brantley, who eventually hit into a double play. Downs finished the inning, and then it was Walden redemption time.
OAKLAND -- With a .308 team batting average, the A's offense has been among the best in the Majors since the All-Star break, but their starting rotation hasn't lived up to its billing as one of the best in the league. On Tuesday night against the Rays, Brandon McCarthy did his best to fix that.McCarthy was impressive as the A's downed the Rays, 6-1, at the authentic Alex Rodriguez jersey Red Coliseum. The righty tossed eight solid innings, allowing one run while limiting Tampa Bay to six hits on the night for his best start since May 2, when he shut out the Rangers over six frames."That's as good as I've seen him," A's manager Bob Melvin said. "I think his top [pitch count] was 110 this year, so to be able to go that deep, obviously he's economical on top of that. Terrific performance."The righty didn't have his curveball or changeup at their most effective, but managed to stymie a struggling Tampa Bay offense with a steady diet of sinkers and cutters on both sides of the plate while keeping the ball down in the strike zone all night. He walked just two batters, struck out three and induced twice as many groundouts (10) as he did flyouts (five). The only blemish on an otherwise stellar night was a home run from Rays second baseman Ben Zobrist with one down in the eighth."McCarthy did pitch well," Rays manager Joe Maddon said. "I don't want to take anything away from him. He put up the picket fence against us with a bunch of ones and we were unable to overcome that."The outing C.C. Sabathia official jersey was a refreshing change for the A's rotation, which had allowed 41 earned runs in 53 innings of work since the break. It also marked the longest outing for McCarthy (3-5, 3.52 ERA) since returning from the disabled list with a stress reaction in his right shoulder, and gave the A's bullpen some welcomed rest."To get them the rest is nice," McCarthy said. "And since I had come back, I hadn't gotten as deep into games as I would Brett Gardner official jersey like, so that was kind of a priority tonight. I wanted to make sure I got as deep as I could, so I think it worked well on two fronts."While McCarthy got the A's rotation back to its first-half form, the offense kept up its second-half surge against Rays ace David Price (9-9, 3.76 ERA), tagging the southpaw for four runs and chasing him after six innings."We didn't miss pitches," Melvin said. "When [Price] threw the ball in the middle of the plate we hit them. Going into a game like that against a pitcher like that, runs are usually at a premium and if you get one good authentic C.C. Sabathia jersey Grey ball to hit in the at-bat -- which typically you're not going to get too many more than that from him -- you got Curtis Granderson official jersey to get them."Setting the pace once again were Cliff authentic C.C. Sabathia jersey Red Pennington, who has hit .500 (18-for-36) with two home runs and eight RBIs since the break, and Hideki Matsui.Pennington stayed hot Tuesday, finishing the night 3-for-3 with an RBI double and one run scored, while Matsui -- the reigning American League Player of the Week -- continued to keep his bat alive with an RBI double of his own in the fifth to authentic C.C. Sabathia jersey Black score Pennington. It was Matsui's 12th RBI of the second half, and the slugger is now 17-for-40 (.425) with four doubles authentic Alex Rodriguez jersey Black and a authentic Brett Gardner jersey White pair of homers during that span. "Matsui had a pretty good week last week, but [Pennington] -- right- and left-handed, behind in the count, up in the authentic C.C. Sabathia jersey White count -- he's getting some good balls to hit," Melvin said. "You're seeing a confident player who is being very productive at this point."Although Pennington and Matsui are easily the A's hottest hitters, they were hardly the only ones to produce Tuesday. Pennington combined with Scott Sizemore and Kurt Suzuki -- the bottom three hitters in the order -- to go 5-for-8 with three RBIs and four runs scored on the night. Sizemore reached base in all four plate appearances, drawing a career-high three walks and scoring three runs, and Suzuki tacked on a two-run double in the eighth as the A's scored four or more runs in a season-high six straight games and improved to 7-4 since the break."That was great," Melvin said. "That was a complete game for us today. Itauthentic Alex Rodriguez jersey White was good to see."
